Esv. Chukwuma Akabuike, who was born on July 8, 1963, hails from Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State. 

He attended Saint Patrick Secondary School, Emene, Enugu where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1981. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Estate Management from University of Nigeria (1996). 

He has worked with John Nwadigbo & Co; Larry Anyasor & Partners; and Pat Onukwuli & Co;--these are professional firms of Estate Surveyors & Valuers. He resigned from Pat. Onukwuli & Co in 2008 to set up Akabuike & Associates where he is the Principal Partner.

Chukwuma Akabuike was elected as an Associate of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers in 2003 and registered with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (RSV) in 2008. He was elevated to a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers on the 22nd of August, 2015 in Port Harcourt.

He is married to Mrs. Chinyelu Onyeka Akabuike. His hobbies include traveling, watching tennis, football, and basketball.
