Born in Sapele, Chukwuma Nwokoh graduated in 1985 with a B.Sc degree in sociology from University of Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of University of Lagos where he obtained a Masters degree in sociology in 1990.

He has worked in several media houses including The Mail newspaper; Democrat newspaper, African Guardian magazine and The Guardian on Sunday newspaper. He is a former News Editor of The Guardian on Sunday.

Nwokoh, who hails from Isheagu, Aniocha South local government area of Delta State, is currently a deputy director at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Abuja.

He has three children. He is an Arsenal fan.
