Ngozi John-Uyah is a communicator, a linguist, culture administrator, artist manager, editor, proof-reader and public relations and protocol professional. She is a Director at National Gallery of Art (NGA), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.

Ngozi is an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the foremost exchange program of the United States of America Department of State. She is currently the General Secretary of the IVLP Alumni Association. She sits on the Boards of four international foundations, two of which are concerned with cultural diplomacy and the promotion of the visual arts; one attending to the care and wellbeing of aged and ageing persons and the last one, with imparting leadership skills and high moral and ethical values in youths. Ngozi is widely travelled.

Ngozi is an incurable optimist, a God lover and an unrepentant patriot. She speaks fluent English, Igbo and Yoruba and understands Hausa and French passably. She loves writing, reading, travelling, mentoring and music.

She is a mother of four daughters and a host of other children, some of whom she adopted and many who adopted her.
