James Aziegbe hails from Ebudin, Esan central local government area of Edo State although he is a Lagosian by birth. Born on  December 17, 1964, he attended  Aminu LEA (former St. Theresa’s Primary) School, S/G Zaria {1970 – 1976} and Govt. Secondary Technical School, Soba, Zaria {1976 – 1981}.

He holds National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in quantity surveying from Auchi Polytechnic. He is an alumnus of University of Calabar where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management in 2000.

Aziegbe, who is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Quantity  Surveyors (MNIQS), is also a registered member of the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN.)

His work experience began in 1984 when he was employed as a  quantity surveying assistant by Adesoye & Partners, a Lagos-based firm of chartered quantity surveyors. Between 1989 and 1991, he was an assistant quantity surveyor with Quants Services Group, an Owerri-based firm of chartered quantity surveyors. Since 2001, he has been the principal consultant at J. Aziegbe Cost Consultants Ltd.

Over the years, as a consultant, Aziegbe has worked on a number of road and building projects across the country, notable among them are the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) lane road project, Lagos; road projects in Rivers, Niger and Nassarawa States; and building projects like state secretariats and  party offices.

He is married to Angela and they have four children.
