Mr. Osauzo J. Obaro attended Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, for his OND in Accounting and Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, where he obtained an HND in Accounting. He is also an alumnus of ESUT Business School, Enugu, from where he had his Master’s degree in Business Administration, and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.

He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Institute of Corporate Administration as well as an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Obaro has over twenty five years post-graduation experience, spanning both the private and public sectors of the economy covering finance, taxation, project management, economic reforms and privatization, among others.

He joined the Bureau of Public Enterprises in 2000 and has been the Deputy Director and Head of Strategic Planning and Research since 2007.

Following the handover of Eko Electricity Distribution Company to the new core investors, Obaro became a Director of the company to represent the interest of the Federal Government on the Board of the company.

He is married to Efe and they have children.

He loves travelling, music and sports generally.
